Congee is a humble man's food, especially with offal, which is essentially parts of the animal which are not generally sold as prime meat. This humble place is again, run by some hardworking women, and the kitchen is usually overwhelmed with takeaway orders. For 9am on a weekday, and only having congee on the menu, the restaurant was packed and I had to wait in line for about 20min to get a seat.

I could just smell the congee when it arrived, it had a deep smoky aroma. It was piping hot, creamy and flavored with an aromatic, smoky pork broth and ginger. The pork mince was very fine, and perfectly cooked within the congee. I ordered some more crispy noodles to top on the congee. On that rainy morning, every spoonful was a warm hug. For just 50 THB, it was a generous amount and a very heavy meal. The definition of comfort food.
