This is a street stall a little down the road on Convent Street, opposite the Convent school gates. You'll only find locals here and the staff wont speak English, so its only going to be pointing at the menu on the flex of the cart and sitting down next to a local on a little stool.

You can see everyone in their office attire, grabbing a quick meal with a friend or by themselves before getting back home.

The plate of pork and rice will look equally humble, without any fanfare of strong and spicy flavors or toppings. But this plate of slow cooked, soupy, tender pork with rice is something you feel you can eat happily every day. It was mild, light and wholesome, with some humble steamed greens on the side for the fiber and a jammy egg for oomf. It was a complete and supremely delicious plate of food, all for 70 THB.
